De Droom van de Jeugd (Childhood Dreams) is a Dutch TV series that tells the story of the Wander family over a period of 40 years. An ordinary family with a big secret that seeps through the generations like poison and affects all members of the family. Planet X asked me to create a number of matte paintings for De Droom van de Jeugd.

Painting and recreating historical locations, like the turbulent Sarajevo in the 90s during the siege, were challenging and fascinating. Below you’'ll find some before-and-after visuals of several shots that I had the privilege of working on.
