Gene Therapy
explainer video / storyboard & concept artist
There is no cure for most of the 600 different muscle diseases and due to the lack of treatment people continue to deteriorate, resulting in paralysis or even death. In the Netherlands alone, there are 200,000 people with a muscle disease. The road to a cure for all these diseases seemed painfully long and complicated until recently. Now there is hope, thanks to gene therapy.

Studio Whoohoo was commissioned by Prinses Beatrix Spierfonds to produce an informative video explaining their pioneering research in gene therapy. Within this project, I was tasked with creating the storyboard, concept art and all of the backgrounds. Hilde Buiter designed and animated the characters. Below, you'll find a selection of my design work, followed by the complete credits for our collaborative effort.
