Yim & Yoyo

TV film / art director

“Yim & Yoyo” is a youth film centered around Yim, a young boy who finds solace in the companionship of his imaginary friend, Yoyo, a charmingly drawn panda bear. Amidst a backdrop of solitude, Yim and Yoyo embark on countless imaginative adventures in animated worlds of their own creation.

However, a twist of fate unfolds when a new girl joins Yim's class, offering him the prospect of forging a real-life friendship. This leaves Yim pondering the fate of his cherished friend, Yoyo. What lies ahead for their extraordinary bond?

Background paintings

"Yim & Yoyo" is a vibrant youth film that cleverly combines live-action scenes with 2D animation. As the art director, my role involved scouting locations, procuring props, and help with shaping the film's artistic vision. This encompassed painting the 2D animation backgrounds and contributing to the design of the endearing panda character, Yoyo. I also created various graphic props, including Yim's drawings within the film.
