In the film “Waterboys” we embark on a roadtrip from Amsterdam to Edinburgh with crime novelist Victor and his twenty-year-old cello playing son Zack who both have become single. During their trip they are forced to confront themselves and finally get to know each other. A fun and touching film about fathers who have to grow up and sons who should take life a little more easy.
My work
Production design
In my role as a production designer, my central focus was developing and sustaining a unified visual style for the film in close collaboration with the rest of the crew. A significant portion of my work involved the creation of distinctive graphic props, including the design of Victor's novels, and the transformation of locations to align with the narrative's artistic vision. Furthermore, I helped in scouting and selecting the perfect locations to ensure that the film's atmosphere was just right.
